In addition, journal freely about your First Friday at your internship.
As the week went down to Friday and I waited for every hour to pass by, I didn't feel that spark of the "IT'S FRIDAY"
feeling. I may not have had 3 days of internship as my peers but I certainly felt the new work load that's already on my shoulders. Even though today was full of new assignments such as, entering data onto an Excel Sheet on torque and weight, filling and viewing/comparing data on another Excel Sheet. It was great having new tasks and interacting with the other adults. I feel comfortable with my mentor, Matias (since he is my uncle). But besides that, I can visually feel the passion he has for helping me understand and further my knowledge in the company, my project and in engineering. Also, now that I have settled in a little more, the stress from the beginning of the internship has washed away. I wasn't completely sure I would be doing anything connected with engineering, but now that I've seen and experimented with the project I feel more confident. I got the sense of how things run at Sekisui. Not only that but I also got news about one of the 11th grade teachers, William Raschke, who is going to be visiting my internship on Monday. So Matias and I are both going to discuss what we've been receiving from the Automated Filling Machine and what we have noticed.
