How can we share our VR worlds at the Maker Faire on Dec 3? Be specific. How will you succinctly describe the process of developing VR content? How will a passerby experience our VR worlds? What can a participant take away from our booth that would help them develop their own VR content? How will you communicate the bigger picture issues you investigated? E.g., what is reality? How do we develop/recognize biases?
-I'm not sure how we would exhibit our VR worlds in the way we exhibit our projects for school. Since there are multiple VR's with different variations of specialists (3D modelers, videographer, programmer, etc), it seems simpler to show each specialists process and job throughout the project with the VR world they worked for. Or if there are multiple people who worked for more than one producer than there should be a booth for each job while people explain their work individually and explain who they worked for and their VR's. I'm not completely sure how we will show the oculus but the VR's that can use the google cardboards will be very easy to display (I'm guessing).
I would really enjoy exhibition at school since it would be easier to show our work from our computers and such.
Provide a brief summary of Dewey’s ideas. Where in the VR project do you see Dewey’s ideas being implemented? Where could they be better implemented?
-Dewey's ideas implemented what High Tech High International is about. Learning from experience, ideas and growing from what we take in and use it for our on self. The VR project definitely took a spin on helping each other since we all didn't really know what we were doing or going into. Not all of us had the same experience but for me, I've learned a lot on communication with my producers and how to use certain programs.
Provide a brief summary of Pink’s argument about motivation. What would this look like in the school setting?
Pink's video was very interesting. The fact that people will lack in completing a task to their full ability because of the amount they make or will be given isn't as shocking. The fact that this is shown in the VR project also isn't as surprising. Since we all didn't know what to expect and do at first, we all were focused on trying to get the work done without having a purpose. A lot of focus has been on finishing the work without actually being a part of it and happy with what we created.
